The Greenbrier is a brand new tournament in only its third year as
part of the PGA Tour; it is also the first to be played in West
Virginia. Many of the players had not been to the state before playing
in this tournament.
Woods teed off early on Thursday morning in one of the marquee groups
along with 2012 U.S. Open champion Webb Simpson and Steve Stricker.
Scott Stallings, and Stewart Appleby, the two previous winners of the
tournament are paired with Phil Mickelson in another group that will
attract some attention. Woods has now passed Jack Nicklaus for total PGA Tour wins with his
74th at Congressional last week; he now needs eight more to tie Sam
Snead for the most of all time. To follow along with the action as it happens check out the live leaderboard here. Where to Watch: The tournament will be shown
beginning at 3 p.m. ET on the Golf Channel on Thursday and Friday before
it switches to CBS for the weekend's action. A free Live Stream of the tournament can be found at FirstRowSports.
